You are absolutely correct John. This "light orb" hypothesis would not explain the UFO observations in the 50s and 60s (assuming technically it couldn't have been done back then). So win some, lose some. No theory will explain everything 100% but at least I think I was able to explain a bunch of really salient UFO behavior through this hypothesis. I still think it's one of the best hypotheses out there.
