Well, I hear you but... 2000 years of "context" and "authority" was behind Church's push for the Ptolemaic cosmology but I'm glad Galileo didn't care for that kind of authority and context. However, if you've read my article, I of course do not advocate skepticism of authority in every context. I tried to explain via my whimsical argument why I believe in Barcelona even though I've never been there. Deep down I think we agree on the necessity of taking authority seriously when the context warrants it but on a controversial topic like UFOs, a former U.S. Senator says something.... I'm sorry Sen. Reid, you're no Galileo (unless you show your evidence so we can examine it in public).
