To write satire on Medium disguised as a serious piece about how you can make a million dollars with a single post is exploitation, a fraud. It's disgrace. I can't say it should be banned since that would violate the principle of freedom of expression. But it should be disclosed honestly in the very beginning so that it does not become the Mother of All Clickbait traps. We have the freedom to write and read satire. But a satire writer does not have the freedom to cover up, mislead and deceive his readers, and make money on top by making us read the misleading piece to the very end. I used to follow a very talented writer who resorted to this technique to get more readers. He shot himself in the foot. I unfollowed him. So what did he gain? Ultimately it's a self-defeating idiocy.
