This concern for being ridiculed puzzles me. I hear that quite often among the UFO fans. It'd never occur to me to ridicule anyone who claims a UFO sighting. On the contrary, I'd be very curious to see the evidence and try to ascertain whether the sighting could be true or not. I have no idea why some people mock others and others feel they are mocked in return. There seems to be a lot of social pressure on both sides.
