Steve, you have a point. Optical object hypothesis does not explain everything but a lot of things. That's why for me it's a useful hypothesis. On the other hand the "UFO is a metal object driven by little green men from a far away galaxy" hypothesis does not explain any of the behaviors I listed. We have to judge comparatively.
