Lucy, there is the monetization good old way — dropping links everywhere, including your bio, and hoping someone would click. But Quora is very strict about the links. If they think the link has nothing to do with the content, then they delete your post and send you a stern you-are-a-bad-person warning. If you keep doing it, they freeze the account ouch! Now they also have the Medium-copycat partnership program where people read your stuff if they are a paid Quora partner and every time people read your stuff you get a haircut of unknown generosity. I tried it but after a week I made zilch. So I switched back to free-but-for-the-links model. It’s tough to make money on Medium or Quora. I hope you are still keeping your day job, honestly.
