I started to backup, save, and then delete my published content from Medium already. I'm not going to wait for Sept 1. I'm a writer for 30 years but I never faced such a situation as this when the Platform says "Starting Sept 1, you still have the copyright for your stuff but so do I and I can do whatever I like with your content without paying you." Wow, pretty disappointing. I thought Medium was a sophisticated company that respected Intellectual Property and creativity... I wonder what prompted them for this new policy? I guess $5 a month for membership was not enough.
