I agree with Dr. John Rose that this is first and foremost Medium's problem. Imagine someone cloning Wired magazine, would they just watch and do nothing? There are ways to take down plagiarized and unauthorized content on the Internet. Yes it costs money and involves lawyers but a company like Medium should be able to take it that seriously and accept the challenge and cost as a part of doing business. If Medium does not set a precedent by challenging this piracy, who will prevent other clones tomorrow, each using our content with no compensation or bylines? This is not an acceptable situation.
